Stan, I can't even begin to tell you how fabulous you were Saturday night. Ellen and Bryan thought you were just great and their guests certainly agreed. We all had a wonderful time and the music just kept everything on a high note. The dinner music was just as you said it would be, background music, not too loud or overpowering. You did a great job and we can't thank-you enough. I certainly understand now after seeing and hearing you in action that the DJ makes all the difference. (This next email is very different.I was fortunate to talk to a client that did not choose me as their DJ. Jason was kind enough to send me this comment about their reception disaster. He also told me they filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against this DJ.)
My wife and I met with Stan about his DJ service for our wedding and we were impressed with his professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail. It was clear to us that Stan knows his business. He offered several different options for the reception; all of them with a focus on our needs and preferences.
We were all set to ask Stan to be a part of our special day when we decided to interview one more DJ candidate. To save some money we ended up going with the other guy. What a disaster!
The guy we hired didn't have our first dance song (the husband of the matron of honor missed the ceremony because he had to run into town to find a CD with the song). And, he didn't follow the order we wanted for the introduction of family members. He also mispronounced names of family and wedding party members (even when we spelled the names out phonetically on the worksheet that he provided).
Worst of all was the "Love Story" he sold us for an extra fee. The story he "crafted" (from the questionnaire he had us complete) was the most amateurish, (and unintentionally funny) long-winded narrative one will ever witness. I won't bore anyone with the details. But, my cousins in the back of the tent made a drinking game out the experience. They took a sip every time the DJ said "Jason" or "Alison"-none of them could drive afterward. During the rest of the night, more than a few of our guests commented that it was lucky that Alison and I weren't any older or they would still be listening to our "Love Story."
If you're debating on whether or not to have Stan at your event and your final question comes down to money, go with Stan. You know what they say, "You get what you pay for."

Even the couple who has been married the longest (55 years) said you were the best DJ they've ever seen, and they've been around the block a time or two! What a great time we had at Jenelle and Christopher's wedding. And it went too fast! Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful entertainment. The music was great, and you are a true professional. I will never forget Jen and her Dad dancing and Jen and Chris' first dance together as husband and wife. My husband stood at the edge of the dance floor watching his little girl dance with her husband for the first time and it brought tears to my eyes.

I just wanted to take a moment and tell you what a wonderful job you did for us at our wedding reception July 17. You were awesome! You got people on the dance floor whom I had never seen dance before. You entertained the group as well as got out from behind the mixers and mixed right in, teaching dance moves and motivating the crowd. Best of all, you were able to help me roll with the punches as our catering schedule forced a re-configuration of the evening's events. We especially liked the fact that you were right in the mix taking pictures, and then subsequently burned on a CD and gave to us that very night. Very high tech, and much appreciated! Stan, ou were awesome, and we got many compliments on him from our guests.
Jessica and I will be out of pocket until August 18, as we travel Ireland on our honeymoon, but I wanted to make sure that I got an e-mail out to you before it got any later. Thanks again!
